This is about Assessing the Endangered Status of the Bangsongka Language: A Comprehensive Approach to Safeguarding It Amidst Rapid Urban Transformation. The Bangsongka language, the native tongue of the original Bangsongka inhabitants, is currently facing a precarious situation due to the swift changes and advancements in the city's social and cultural fabric. This underscores the pressing need for robust and effective measures to protect this linguistic heritage. The concern arises from the fear that the extinction of the Bangsongka language would result in the loss of valuable Bangsongka traditions, technology, cultural norms, and customs for future generations. Such a loss would signify the erosion of a rich and distinctive civilization. This study has been developed to evaluate the current status and vitality of the Bangsongka language, employing a methodological framework that draws from Social Semiotics, Demography, and Sociology. Instead of relying solely on quantitative data, this research adopts a qualitative approach to capture the intricacies, subtleties, and specific nuances related to the use and significance of the language. The study's findings indicate that the Bangsongka language is now more vulnerable than ever before, with profound consequences for the Bangsongka community. Despite these challenges, educational interventions hold promise for language preservation. Moving forward, it is imperative to formulate a holistic strategy for safeguarding the Bangsongka language, involving collaboration among diverse stakeholders from various sectors.
